Unfortunately a science fiction icon, Nichelle Nichols has left us today. Who all remembers this lady?

She was the first, that I know of, black woman to have a not traditional, non stereotypical role in a ground breaking series. She was also use to recruit women to NASA. She died this weekend at the age of 89, and will absolutely be missed.

Who all knows of this fantastic person? I met her once at a trek convention many years ago. She was incredible, kind, sweet, and very funny.

I taught this book “Hidden Figures” to my students. There should be more informations out there for these incredible people.
I do like how some video game developers are trying to teach young kids about history through their games.
I didn’t know she passed away. I have great respect for them/her.

That was a great movie. I sometimes talk about it to my students. I liked how they had to cut to opening in the door to get the computer through it.

Understood. She was the first black woman to have that kind of role in any kind of television show. I have tremendous respect for her. While today's activists think they are doing good.. She did actual good..
