What’s the big hype about when it comes to stranger things?

I’m finishing up season 2 of stranger things and to be frank from what I’ve seen. This show is hugely HUGELY overrated, I’ve yet to see anything that any other Tv series or movie or even video game series hasn’t already done in terms of horror and story telling. Season one is basically the movie IT in episode format if they gave the main character super powers. I can barely remember majority of season 2 but the part I’m on now is giving me walking dead vibes. That or if you’ve seen any zombie flick ever where the virus spreads and zombies start breaking out the top secret lab where…… actually Resident evil 1 that’s the later half of season 2 of stranger things it’s Resident evil 1 in a nut shell. Just feels so unoriginal. Am I the only one who thinks so?

Well, it's supposed to be 80s nostalgia or horror mixed in with the group of kids cliche.. So it's not supposed to be original and the show is definitely not trying to be.. It's more of a big love letter to the early to late 80s and horror.. Not to mention the characters are very likable and the kids actors are very good.. And the show is well produced.. It's a series with a movie like budget.. I would say it's like those except putting it's own twist to it..
