Listening to country music make you a redneck?

I was sitting at an intersection waiting for the light to turn green. I was listening to Tennessee whiskey when somebody was walking pass called me a redneck. Does listening to country music make me a redneck

I actually just discovered where the term "redneck" comes from. Far from being any type opf derogatory remark, rednecks were called that because the used to almost all wear a red plaid shirt covering the back of their neck. The look became obvious when the companies mining the Appalachian states tried to foce miners to accept company scrip in lieu of salary as well as buying everything from the company owned general store each town would have. All of the houses were company owned so the whenever the miners threatened to unionize- which they eventually did in the UMW- they wore these shorts with the collars turned up top be recognized as striking miners to each other.
To make the situation as rigged as possible the mining companies, who owned the state governments of states like W. Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky and SW Virginia and made sure no other businesses were allowed to open in these areas, This meant that miners, despite havinng black lung, blown out backs, etc, coiuld not seek employment elsewhere. The working me- and their famiolies were bound to the mine and its illegal and immoral practice4s. They finally got the right to organize after a few bloddy confrontatrions because the proud cap[italists who made the $$ but never had to do any work in the mines, cvopuld call their paid off lackies in the Capitol and have the National Guard sent in to protect scabs and to shoot- usually indiscriminately- not just the men but p other of the early organizers coulkd have possibly done any worse under communism, or any other form of gov't. The owners, who had and meant to keep, the capital, were only worried about communists because they might actually need to pay attn. to working conditions or get their workplace. I've never been able to figure out why this country was so afraid oif communism but of course it wasn't the gov't- it was the rich who owned the gov't who had millions of tax dollars spent stopping news;letters, deporting anyone who disagreed with the theory that John D. Rockefeller had the Baptist god fearing FBI and similar illegal organizations. Ig high school history books were required to tell the truth people would probably have lynched Douglas MacArthur, Rockefeeler et fils, Carfnegie, definitely Vanderbilt, Asor. and so many others who turned trhe American dream upside down and paved the way for Trump.

The Redneck label is outdated and obsolete. Country music has come a long way in the last 30 years. There is a lot of excellent country music out there. Tennessee Whiskey is one of those songs.

With that said some of the classic country artists like Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, and Patsy Cline were great and still are.

There are some great country musicians too. Absolutely top notch artists.
