How do I deal with my boyfriend's sister?

She's very jugemental and opinionated. She won't say rude things to your face, but once you're gone, she will say bad things about you behind your back. It's not like I can avoid her, I mean she is my boyfriend's sister, but I wish she would stop saying bad things about me and others. I don't want to start arguments with her by confronting her because that would not solve anything (she is the type of person where it's her way or no way). How can I try to solve this issue or even avoid the problem (But not avoid her, obviously I can't).

A good option could be asking your boyfriend about it. Or gently talking to him about it. Or possibly when you hear her saying something mean about someone else you could say "that's kind of rude for you to say."
Tell her that she's better than this and shouldn't have to say such rude things.

Your boyfriend is the one who will have to take care of this with her. He will have to stop her when and if she talks bad about you, he'll need to tell he he loves you so don't tear you apart. Likely she is jealous of your relationship. You need to try to find common ground with her.

Maybe she's just rude in general or maybe she's feeling protective of her little brother either way, dealing with a sister who is constantly nasty isn't fun. How to deal? Kill her with kindness and be the bigger person. Yeah, it's annoying, but maybe one day she'll come around.

Kill her with kindness. It can be the hardest thing to do, but it will hopefully make her realize that she has no reason to be stuck up to you. Maybe it'll even rub off on her. You never know.

You take your boyfriend aside and talk to him. Tell him the problem. And then tell him you are going to take his sister aside and talk to her. Tell him everything you plan on saying to her. Let him vet it and help you figure out what to say to her. Then take her aside and talk to her.
