I Think I'm Attracted to My Step Brother?

I'm a 26 year old male, and my step brother is 19. He still lives with our parents, and the first time I met my father's new wife is the first time I met him as well. I had been visiting for the holidays, and when I saw that boy for the first time, he gave me butterflies.

He's so gorgeous. He's not only physically attractive but he's also got such an amazing personality. He's so talented and interesting. He draws and takes art commissions for cash, and he's so good at what he does. We're into a lot of the same things as well. And don't even get me started on his voice. I've never been attracted to a man before now.

I think I want a relationship with him, but seeing as our parents are together, I feel like it'd be kind of weird. Advice? Thoughts? General comments?

There are lots of people i find hot that i dont hit on. Because i should not! My one girlfriends husband is SUPER hot. And he smiles at me a lot and flirts. So I'd never go over there alone. Because I know me! And I'm not foinf down that rabbit hole. Firstly i dont believe a higher power puts us in awkward situations if the person is our soul mate... i just do not.

There are plenty of single men out there who are good looking, kind, funny, and potentially the perfect mate for you. And dating them won't ruin your family holidays or hurt your parents.

We won't even get into the fact that your step bro is only 19. If you don't remember 19 let me refresh your memory. You are just discovering you and so relationships rarely last at this point. So at the very least, if you must persue him, which i don't think you should, wait til he is a mature man, like your current age. Maybe then at least it might have a chance to last

In the mean time put your crush on the back burner. Date other men. The best way to get over one is to find another 😁

I'd like to butt in -- your area doesn't have to fully affect your opinions on things. I'm from the southern US and I've seen people get shunned or literally physically assaulted in the streets for being gay. I still don't find anything wrong with it. Im just weirded out because I've never liked a man in that way before.

Before I block you, it's a too much effort to hate. You'll find yourself a lot happier and more pleasant to be around if you respect people doing what they want. Also, the more you try to hate it and spread hate towards those people, it's going to spread much more.
