My roommate spilled something on her pants, and she told me that she went into my drawer to use my nail polish remover to get the stain out. However, she didn’t ask me first. When I got back to my dorm, she told me that she meant to text me (but she didn’t) to tell me that she had used my stuff but forgot. So, I’m a little upset because we agreed (in our roommate agreement) to not use each other’s things without permission, unless it’s a life or death situation, and my drawer is kind of messy, so that means that she literally had to go through my stuff to get the nail polish remover. Additionally, I had a similar issue with my roommate last year, and I don’t like ANYONE going into my stuff without my permission first.
This is a complicated one, because she didn’t steal anything, she just borrowed nail polish removed but at the same time I get why you are annoyed that she broke in your things without asking.
My advice is to not make a deal out of it, but talk to her about it if it happens again.

Yes, it's a violation of your territory and you don't have much. It's not a big thing in the grand scheme of things but it's still a line that she crossed.
She might not see the problem though even if you explain it.
