What is the difference between daddy issues and mommy issues? What are their effects on both boys and girls?

That is daddy issues are caused by dad and mommy issues by mom

How do they effect a child's life?

Does it affect their dating and sexual lives or how they interact with the opposite sex?

I don't know what is up with some of these answers, many actually got it very wrong. Daddy and Mommy issues is directly linked to parental neglect and abuse.

Daddy issues and Mommy issues is exactly what the gender is. But it doesn't always correlate to the same sex at all. Just the primary offender. So an example would be that their father wasn't around. For men it can cause them to either grow up emotionally unhealthy , especially when the mother is not attentive to the son. Or the son will latch onto the mom and start behaving effeminately. Thinking that being more on the nurturing side will gain him love, acceptance and affection. Especially if she coddled him. How it affects his dating life is that he may become the abusive and neglective guy who either sleeps around or become the needy guy who must win the affections for any woman to pay attention to him. In other words, either he is extremely selfish especially sexually, don't want marriage, kids, hates single mothers, calls all women hoes, etc. You get the point. OR he will grow into the mommas boy that will never grow up, and is married to every female in his family life, except YOU (The other female not biologically family unless married or have children). That's daddy issues. The tied link between girls and boys is mutual hatred for their father. The guy may also feel to have a need to do better than his old man thinking that he would be a better role model than he was. If the father suddenly walk away, it intensifies as relations are cut off. If he comes back in, he may think he's a weak man. Mommy issues is very similar.

For girls with daddy and Mommy issues and I can confirm what this did to me. It had shown me that they were immature, unsuitable for marriage at the time, had a lot of maturing to do, but greatly affected me with their toxic marriage. it got me sick, depressed, miserable and just desiring to run away a few times or God forbid kill myself. But it had nothing to with my dating choices or sexual. I just made the decision to never date or have sex outside of marriage, it just because it displeased God. But because outside influences from poor guys and boys revealed to me how my parents ended up in their mess in the first place.

But for most girls it's the same for the guys. But many of them may be either too clingy of a guy, too desperate for a male attention, sex, kids, money, etc or they go wild and get promiscous. The other extreme is fiminsism and man hating tendencies. And the other is having pure hatred for the mother. Since we are called the more emotional sex.

that don't necessarily always stems from daddy issues. I have a close friend that done that and have been through all of that herself. She didn't date older men like 4, 5, 10 years older. But back in HS, she tried dating boys at least a 1 year or w older and thought they were more mature than the younger guys she had. The same with her ex husband. But her problems with her dad stems from the issues her mom had. Both had serious issues. He tried to kill them and himself, literally attempted to take his own life before becoming saved to Christ, and once disowned her during our school years. It was hard on her so she latched onto her mother more. Then when she had got in touch again with him after a fall out with her mom at times, he admitted that he could be there because she told people lies about him raping her and stuff and couldn't be with her anymore. But he did loved her, but had to stay says becaus she was becoming too much like her mom. He doesn't hate her mom and neither does she hate him per se. Both are hurt. And their sexual choices shaped her dating and sexual choices.

Men with money issues is something entirely different. Tahts more like a psychological problem. Not an attachment problem. They go after older women because they want a mom figure to baby them. Not because they have issues with their mom or lack of her presence. The only time that happens is unless he uses that as an excuse to fuel his addictions and habits.

Most girls don't always go for guys because of their father they do it because they want to be seen as more mature, cool and think more experience is better. It boasts her sexual value.

I have a little guide based on general assumption rather than each case;

Daddy issues:
-Often hypersexual or asexual
-Socially awkward
-Humorus
-Doesn't know limits
-Hates physical contact or loves it
-Often diagnosed with depression, BPD, ADD

Mommy issues:
-Either takes care of the family or leeches on to an older sibling/single father
-Workaholic to an unhealthy extreme
-Social and friendly (in public)
-Struggles with some morals
-Often diagnosed with OCD, Schizophrenia, Depression, and ADHD

Both:
-Often diagnosed with depression and PTSD
-Severely affected by lack of moral guidance
-Most likely to become abusive (unless raised by good authority figures)
-Forms unhealthy attachments to friends and SOs

Again, this is all speculation and isn't based on any real evidence. This does not apply to all people with these issues at all.

There is no such thing as daddy issues. For example if a girl grows up with no dad and acts like a little ho people call that daddy issues. Yet if she had a father she is very close to and seeks a man like that because she found her dad to have good qualities people also call that daddy issues. On the other hand if the mom misbehaves and hos around whether the dad is around or not and if the daughter copies mom, its still calles daddy issues. So really you can't win lol.

Now mommy issues is classified typically as being a mamas boy. And it happens when the father is not masculine and lets the mom nag everyone to death the son never breaks free of the mothers authority.

I don't really know about daddy issues (other than girls, who during sex call their partner the creepy word DADDY) but I get the feeling, that mommy issues include a lack of motherly love and may make boys want their girlfriend to imitate a mother's love a few times to get the feel of motherly love, that they didn't really have 🤷

To some degree I did. I experienced much more strict authority and control (also betrayal) over parental love and care.

I don't know how mothers love but I do like it when a woman hugs me the way a mother would hug a toddler 🤷 It makes me feel safe, loved and revitalized.😍
It sounds most likely weird, so I'm not mentioning that. It's not worth the risk. Dating alone is much harder than it should be for men as it is.
