Are 'Dad bods' actually attractive to girls?

Recently there's been a rise (or supposedly a rise) in girls being more attracted to 'Dadbod' men rather than the muscled/toned guys.

Is this true?

I’m fairly fond of a Dad bod. Ofnits on the man I like I couldn’t care less. At my age if he has muscles he’s basically devoting all his time to that, kinda isn’t so appealing then as it signifies vanity, possible insecurity and not much else going on in his life.

The guy on the left looks so much better than the guy on the right in my opinion. I hate abs and the really lean or really muscular look. The only thing muscular that really turns me on is biceps 😍 but it's not a deal breaker if a guy doesn't have then

Look at it from your side. Do you like toned athletic girls or do you prefer a girl with curves. Which ever you like you'll likely know people who prefer different to you.

It's how humans work. Offer a range in both genders and let people have preferences.

Dad bod is just as valid a choice as going for a curvy girl. But it's down to the people you meet if they find it attractive.

I don't necessarily judge on body times can be thin, curvy or big I just like a nice smile and beautiful eyes

Those are good. But you were asking if there's been a change in popularity. I think the reality is the media stopped reporting only muscular men as attractive. It's now been decided we can see curvy men as attractive. Because we can only like what we are told to like.

In reality people go for people. The body type becomes irrelevant.

@Kitty46 not for me lol. I mean guy 1 is ideal but guy 2 has always been the main type i end up with. I like skinny muscular because they fool ya. They strong af and good at lifting you when doing freaky positions 😂

Dad bods to me are just better to me, to me it just seems i would have more fun with them, and not saying there is anything wrong with guys who have chiseled bodies, every one is different.

Women like a guy in shape, just like a guy likes a girl in shape - so, no, it's not preferable to be out of shape. We're animals and it's hardwired into all our genes (guys and girls), it's not superficial.

That being said, a guy can definitely use his personality to his advantage if he doesn't have a banging bod. Women definitely value confidence most of all as the most attractive male trait.

As some of the comments below state - there's always a happy medium tho. A guy who's too much a gymhead with ridiculous looking biceps is as unattractive as a woman who has really fake plastic looking GGs. A bit of muscular tone that shows you take care of yourself without being OTT no-neck type muscles would be the ideal imho.

Think thats a common misconception, girls often believe that guys like slim attractive fit girls (some do granted) but the majority of guys I know, myself included, like girls of all shapes and sizes

If I can have a decent conversation and enjoy a girls company that is far more attractive to me than looks

I think maintaining a healthy weight is the best. Dad bods can easily turn into large stomachs in old age and that can be a precursor to heart disease.
