I cried in front of my ex?

Well, I'm still in love with my ex boyfriend, we were together for about 11 months, he broke up with me in January...He hasn't treated me very since then, but I'm graduating next week and I really want us to be friends. I wanted to end the school year civil...So I talked to him today...I told him I didn't think I'd get another chance to talk to him before graduation, but I wanted to let him know, that as a friend I love him, and I'm going to miss him when I leave for college. I told him that I'd be praying for him (we're both Christians), during his last year of high school since he'll be making some of the most important decisions. I was trying to say more but I broke down crying, and he just put his arms out and hugged me so tight and rubbed my back while I cried. and was like "you're gonna make me cry too" after he told me that he was so sorry for the way he treated me, how he was so wrong in the whole thing, and I didn't deserve to be treated that way, and he teared up and hugged me again. Do you think that he only felt bad because I cried?

I think he felt bad anyway but crying does make most guys feel sad...especially when we are at the cause of it. I think he was trying to keep his distance to make it easier on you hence the 'he hasn't treated me very well since' part. I know it is hard but once you do not see or hear from him then it will start to get easier. If he was around a lot then it would be harder to get over him.

It takes time but it will get better...college has loads of new people and guys to meet. Look at today as a turning point...you have cried your last tear for him, now you have to move on with your life and focus on your future.

it could be that he felt bad for making you cry but it could also mean he is actually sorry for the way he treated you because I don't know of many guys that will comfort their ex and actually tear.
