I started dating this girl here at school on April 9th, and she decided she wanted to break up with me on May 4th. I thought I had found the person I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I really did. We had such a connection and similar life experiences. She was my first girlfriend and so in the span of a month she gave me a ton of new experiences. When she started the TALK, I was fine and talked through it with her, but when I had to give her, her baseball glove back from my trunk that we played catch with all the time, it just hit me that it was over. I was going to take her to a Stl. Cardinals game next week. I started crying when she hugged me, but she was able to keep her emotions in check. She said she still liked me and that this wasn't me, but her and how she isn't ready for long term commitment. Also, I'm graduating this Sunday, and she is only a sophomore, so I don't think she wanted to do long distance. It broke my heart, because I really thought she was the one for me. Although, I think I'm better for it now and will have much more confidence with the next girl.
My boyfriend cried when I broke up with him! Its fine, its attractive if anything because its flattering. However, its only fine as long as you don't guilt her into changing her mind! It'll show her how you feel, but don't make her feel bad and force her to take you back, that'll only end badly.

It's perfectly fine to have cried.

Yeah, it's totally cool to have cried. I cry when I break up with someone AND when they break up with me. It's an emotional situation. PS: GO CARDS!
It's not fine
