Would you regret getting your child's name tattooed on you if they became estranged as an adult?

My daughter became estranged and I'm thinking of getting my tattoo of her name that I got when she was a baby removed. It's not that I don't love her but every time I see it in the mirror I'm reminded of the pain :'(

She'll always be your daughter no matter what... I can understand the pain, but the pain, unlike the tattoo, will fade with time.

I got a tattoo with an old girlfriend, and for a long time I would be reminded of the pain when I looked down, in the mirror, or whenever somebody asked about it.

But now that I've had these tattoos for most of my adult life, I've embraced and accepted the tattoos, even enjoy and show them off now.

I would suggest for anyone reading this to never get their babies names or faces tattood onto themselves.

Now that I've said that for the OP
.. no I don't think you should get it removed if and when you and your child make amends it will create an awkward situation.
If you truly dont expect to ever talk again then go ahead
