Let's say you had a baby and after a few months or a few years, it became painfully obvious the child was growing up to be a total and complete doofus. Could you love your doofy child? VOTE!

i think part of being a parent is loving your child NO MATTER WHAT. Whether they want to change genders, like the same sex, have a mental problem, have a disease... etc. You should love them for all the good things you see in them, not the bad. Any good parent should know this.

the only way it would be immediately obvious is if the kid had literal brain damage. I would hope that my love for my children wouldn't be based in what they can or can't do. I'd be sad because they might not be able to live a normal life but i'd still love them
