Will you be having a very Merry Christmas?

This isn't really a question but more a message from me wishing you all a very merry Christmas.
For those of you that don't celebrate seasons greetings.
I know that these last three or so years have been especially tough.
And I say three years because I remember just before the pandemic people were complaining and saying they felt so flat out with work and juggling everything.. That for some although the pandemic brought uncertainty and more it also offered some people a very brief moment to rest and collect their thoughts.

I won't dwell so much on the bad but I lost my father in 2020 and its the most difficult thing I've ever had to go through, sitting in that covid ward in ppe watching him take his last breaths.
Unlike many other people they weren't able to do this.
But if I'm honest I almost wish I hadn't, it still haunts me watching the stages as they progressed.
But the little Ray of hope I got was at the end he smiled.
I don't know how you feel about this but it offered me some hope that there is something pleasant on the other side and if not he at least had a moment of peace.

Hold you loved one's close, and remind them why you're grateful to have them in your life.
This holiday for my family isn't about buying expensive gifts but spending time together.
I hope you have love in your life.
And if you're not with someone know that wherever you are in the world I certainly wish you all the best.
Be thankful that you are alive.
There's better to come.
I've had some really dark days so I know sometimes hearing this doesn't help but maybe just maybe it might.
All the best for 2022.
Your far away friend.

Xx
