Husband’s friend whom I cannot stand is coming, how should I deal?

Husband’s friend is in my opinion awful. He talks too much and he is a cheat.

He has a wife with whom he has three children with. He got another woman pregnant same time as he got his wife pregnant, wife was pissed, then they were all okay and he was in a relationship with both. Now he found out new woman is only with him because of money and he is planning to run from her and she doesn’t lnow. His first wife moved to another city and now he is moving to the same city where she lives in a separate place.

Me and my husband also live in that city. They didn’t hang out that often before and I doubt they will now. But he is coming to visit and I can’t stand him. What wold you think of this?

Have you told your husband that you don’t really care for his friend? You can express your feelings to your husband about why you don’t like his friend and tell him you don’t want to be around if he hangs out with him , If your husband loves and respects you he might distance his friendship with him but if he does that for you and you have a girlfriend that he doesn’t care for, you will have to do the same for him , cuz if not double standards might come into play and wreck havoc on your marriage

Thanks for MHO , I am a firm believer in marriage and commitment, the only way love can grow is both husband and wife make each other their main priority , wearing each other’s shoes , whether we agree or disagree with each other communicating and compromising and removing selfishness and sacrificing for each other is the only way a marriage and love will grow , the problem most people have in relationships is they don’t know how to remove selfishness and then wonder why they end up divorced or cheated on , we are all imperfect people and we all have selfishness in us , most people jump into a relationships without looking at the big picture and that’s when things get bad , we can’t expect someone to do for us that we can’t do for them you didn’t get committed to be single, if we tell our partners to stop doing something that we don’t like them doing and they stop , you need to realize you can’t do the same to them , that’s where double standards come into play , and your selfishness shines , by you telling your husband that you don’t like his friend and you don’t want to be around him then you have to remember when you have a friend that your husband doesn’t like you need to end that friendship for him whether you or agree or disagree , just because we think something is ok it doesn’t mean your partner will think the same , one thing to remember is your friends will not be with you until the end but your partner will be if you prioritize and sacrifice and respect each other

My grandmother used to say that if you walk with a man with a limp, sooner or later you will start to limp. Nothing good can come of this. The friend sounds like a train wreck and when he finally implodes you don't want your husband to get any on his shoes.
