Might someone be narcissistic if they never admit fault?

Or could they just be prideful. Some people will never take the blame when they've hurt people or done something wrong and always blame people outside themselves. They always play the victim and never take accountability. I know that's a sign of a narcissist, or someone with narcissistic qualities, but is that always the case?
