All my life whether at school or at work (now as an adult), i (a quiet person) get harassed and disrespected constantly yet other quiet females and males dont? They get left alone or respected or befriended by everyone.
In school i had quiet friends who never got picked on. In fact sometimes they would get people complimenting them for no reason it almost seemed out of pity. Meanwhile i got bullied for my body and face features, and for being quiet. I was called mute.
Now as an adult at work there's two quiet men and they never start convos with me. That's how i know they are quiet people. Quiet people won't talk to people they aren't already friends with unless you approach them first. So its not just a case of these guys being reserved at work to be professional.
One is very popular and has convos with everyone but me. I don't know if he just doesn't like me or WHAT. but it just adds to how bad i feel. he's respected. Good for him. The other one is respected, i haven't seen him talk as much but when people talk to him its not disrespectful or bullying. He even has friends.
But me? Guys constantly say my name in a high pitched squeaky voice when they see me cause they think its entertaining, people dont respect me generally, many guys have sexually verbally harassed me and mentally abused me and said racial hateful things to me repeatedly. I am quiet and nice. But yet some guy keeps saying i hate people and im antisocial. I get insulted constantly and go home in tears secretly.
