Someone called my best friend a horrible person, because she slept with a married man and then made fun of his wife. My best friend is distraught, and obviously I think what she did was not right, but I'll stand by her. But she refuses to acknowledge the person who said she's a bad person. Do you think there's ever an element of truth when someone calls us that?

Just to make sure I read that right:
Your friend slept with a married man and is now trying to play the victim because she got called out?
Your friend is a horrible person, and she should be ashamed of herself. There is no excuse for cheating, or being an affair partner (knowingly), but then she went and made fun of the woman? What an ass she must be.
