Is playing favorites with your children a type of child abuse?

This means when parents give one of their children more love and attention (praise them so much to others) while neglecting you or saying ''why couldn't you be more like your brother/sister''?

depends on context. if you do it to deconstruct your childs ego, then yes. but if you do that in order to facilitate a healthy competition for their personal development, i think it can be a good thing.

i mean clearly if your child behaved bad, you don't give it as much love as if it behaved well right?

I wouldn't go as far as to say it's abuse but it's definitely not cool and I'd imagine it'd surely cause some sort of psychological impact on the other child/children.
