Mom's sideš½ Grandma-African American/Irish Grandpa-African American/ Mexican American
Father sideš½ Grandma- African American/Korean Grandpa- mystery ( died before I was born and was adopted by a caucasian English family) so his last name changed from whatever his last name was to a "caucasian " last name. Upon my dad's cousin research he is from Jamaica.
What is your Racial/Ethnic background and/or nationality?
4th generation American. My paternal ancestors arrived in this country in 1850. My maternal ancestors arrived around the same time. They settled in Wisconsin and Iowa, respectively. They were all Irish Catholic. But my paternal grand mother and great grand mother probably weren't pure Irish.
Ancestry says I'm over 85% Irish, with, I think, 11% Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), and a bit of northwestern Europe. I might be a bit off on those numbers because I don't have the actual % in front of me at the moment.
So i consider myself to be white but I'm definitely mixed in some way or another. As are my parents and their parents. I'm not sure at which point of my ancestry, the mix was known.
Half Irish half Lebanese, living in England, Looking Italian af, speaking 5 languages, and then people say I'm racist can you believe this?

This is so freaking dope. How did you find out your ethnic make up? Were you already close to this side of the family or seen pics? I was raised primarily by my black side of the family but met the others at family reunion connected but that's on my mother's side.
No, I'd love to, but it's incredibly hard and there are other ones that have more financial benefits to me to learn. My grandfather was a native speaker of Basque, but my grandmother wasn't, so it didn't get passed down since they spoke Spanish with each other.
Maybe when I'm retired,. I can go to the Basque Country and learn in-country. Not everyone speaks Basque there, and there are multiple dialects.
Youād have a hard time finding someone, but I bet you could find someone who lived there, or is really into minority languages. Thereās a Basque Museum in Boise, Idaho, and there or a university that has a Basque Studies program is where Iād first try to find someone who speaks it.
