Should I call cps on my brother, and his girlfriend?

My brother owns a mobile home, and it has some mold in it. Since it so humid, I've spotted some mold near the ceiling in the bathroom. There was also a lot of mold in the other bathroom but he remodeled it. I don't know if he just painted over all the mold or if he ripped our the sheet rock and replaced it. But there have been several leaks in the house and there are big stains on the ceiling. His girlfriend is planning on moving in with my brother and staying a couple days a week. She has a 1 year old and a 2 year old. I'm concerned for the children's health. My brother is going though a very hard time mentally. I live with my mom and he had to come and stay here for a couple days because he was very depressed. It mostly had to do with him and his girlfriend breaking up. He was upset about that but now they are talking about moving in together. He runs a business too and he was becoming overwhelmed with that. I would hate to call cps on him and make his depression worse, but I have to think about the kids. Also, I think my brother would probably find out it was me who called in because I've complained about the mold before. That would destroy our relationship. What should I do?

What if you can help him improve his living situation instead? Maybe help cover the cost of having the mold removed and buy him a dehumidifier? Help him find someone to confide in about his problems? Try that out some other options first. It's possible he may get offended and defensive if you offer to help, but it's worth a shot. He would do better if he had the right support network.

Calling cps should be a last resort, but I understand no child should have to live in a moldy environment. That could cause some serious health problems.
