"Blood is thicker than water", right. If everyone was honest and in a calm manner then sometimes distance is best. Everyone often needs time to recover. The best option is family counseling and/or individual counseling.
Perhaps the following are a couple ways to start the reconciliation process. Examine your fears such as exposure of Self, reactivity, defensiveness, and shame would be part of the first steps that most counselor would take. Writing those things down are often helpful. Reach out, express unresolved, and a sincere intent to resolve the issues.

Depends what happened. Effective communication is required and they need to be receptive but if that’s not possible sometimes you need to cut people off entirely.
