If I had to hazard a guess, it's because social security requires a large number of young people to pay into it so that a small number of older people can take out of it. And with peopleliving longer and healthcare getting more expensive, there is less and less money in the "untouchable box" wherein the SS money is kept, which is only made worse by politicians looting it as they please for pet projects. That's called a ponzi scheme. Also, in order to provide the soldiers and workers that a country needs to be and stay successful, that requires almost all its women to have children. International conflicts ultimately come down to whoever has the most babies wins, and For the 1st time in human history Society no longer expects young women to have children, despite its entire social political and economic infrastructure being built around orders of magnitude more babies than retirees. People who worked hard their entire life paying into building and maintaining that system are understandably a bit salty when subsequent generations do not.
