I feel so anxious before or during a meeting with a stranger or even a friend. I only feel comfortable around my boyfriend and family. The others including my close friends make me feel anxious. I’m less anxious with my close friends. I’m scared to be humiliated or excluded. People say that i’m cold but i actually avoid close interaction with people because of some certaion reasons i mentioned above. How can i get over it? Is there anyone who experienced social phobia?

Yes, many people have experienced social phobia, also known as social anxiety disorder. Social phobia is a type of anxiety disorder that involves an intense fear of being judged, evaluated, or scrutinized by others in social situations. It can make everyday interactions and activities, such as going to work, school, or socializing, feel overwhelming and difficult.
If you are struggling with social phobia, there are several things you can do to help manage and overcome your symptoms:
Seek professional help: A mental health professional, such as a therapist or psychiatrist, can help you understand and manage your social phobia. They may recommend cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure therapy, or medication to help you manage your symptoms.
Practice relaxation techniques: Relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, and visualization can help you manage anxiety symptoms in social situations.
Challenge negative thoughts: Negative thoughts can fuel social phobia. Learning to recognize and challenge negative thoughts, such as "Everyone is judging me" or "I'm going to embarrass myself," can help you reframe your thoughts and reduce anxiety.
Take small steps: Facing social situations that trigger anxiety can be challenging, but taking small steps can help you gradually build confidence. Start by practicing social interactions with people you feel comfortable around, and gradually work your way up to more challenging situations.
Join a support group: Talking to others who have experienced social phobia can help you feel less alone and provide you with valuable support and insights.
Remember, overcoming social phobia takes time and effort, but with the right help and support, it is possible to manage and reduce symptoms.
I’ve had social phobia my entire life and unfortunately no, I don’t have any advice as I’ve mot managed to get rid of it. But you could try therapy. Works for some.
Have you tried therapy?
I think it's best to talk to a professional about it.
