I haven't heard from him in a few days, should I be concerned?

My friend and I live a few hours apart and we talk nearly everyday via text, but sometimes calling. But I haven't heard from him in a few days and my messages on Messenger are showing "delivered" but not "seen" in almost 3 days. What gives? I'm a little worried and upset.
