Two years ago I lost my dog of 15yrs. My family and myself were devastated and I told my wife that I will probably never get another dog. I made the excuse of me being too busy but she knew better. Like she said, “you’ll be retiring in the next three or four years”. On Wednesday, her and my daughters surprised me with a puppy. Apparently, a friend of one of my daughters dog had a litter of mutts, so they picked one out for me. Yes, it was love at first sight! Do any of you have a similar story? Have any of you decided that you will no longer get a pet?

Hey, Slingblade! Do you remember my girl, Maggie? She is still going strong at 13yrs old! She is the only pet I’ve ever had and when it’s her time, I honestly don’t know if I would get another dog, especially with how crazy my life is right now. In the future I will! I’m happy you can enjoy your retirement with your best friend by your side. ❤️🐕
Ha Ha! I do remember her! She looks good! I expect to have a good retirement with her. She has way too much energy for an old man like me but hopefully that will change as she gets older, a little, not a lot! I do want her to keep me young. You really need an intervention for Wally! He’s lost all his marbles. It’s sad to see.
😂😂 I don’t even associate with him on here. I don’t wanna be guilty by association! You know I love him like a brother but he is really losing it. 😝 I’ll DM with him though. Nice chatting with you! 😘
Lost a dog after 15 years. I was a mess and said I’d never get another. By 1 week of grieving I changed my mind and after the first week I found a new dog and was love at first sight.
No. I didn't care anymore because it was lot work to care for them
That's why I go with cats :)
