I was born and raised in Istanbul. We would go to Sultan Ahmet Square or Eminönü with my family every weekend. The historical places there always increased my interest in history and my history lesson was always 100. There were many tourists in the places we visited, so I learned to respect and learn about every culture. I learned to be curious. At a young age, I memorized all kinds of geographical information because of this curiosity. The Bosphorus and the Maiden's Tower fascinated me. The joy of the dolphins in the Bosphorus and throwing bagels to the seagulls was very nice. Sometimes I even wrote poetry in Istanbul when I was a child. I couldn't even ride a bike on the street because it was a crowded city, my mother said. He was afraid of being hit by a car. Since there were people with different opinions, I could now be close friends with people with whom I disagreed.
But Istanbul can sometimes make even a child tired.
What is your story with the city where you were born or spent your childhood?
I was raised on a farm in the county of Pembrokeshire not too far from the coast. It's a rural coastal area popular with tourists. Its claim to fame is being the last part of the UK to be invaded by a foreign army in 1797 by American/French forces. They were captured by the local women
It also contains the smallest city in the UK St Davids which is really just a small town but attracts a lot of Christian pilgrims and tourists
I was born in Hwlffordd/Haverfordwest, an unremarkable town not worth a visit. Recently 240 skeletons were found under a shop many of them showing battle wounds thought to come from a joint assault by Welsh and French forces, who had united to battle the English in the middle ages

I grew up in a small commuter town outside London but I left the area over 20 years ago. I always found it pretty boring even though it's actually a nice place. I was always desperate to move to away from there and live in London which I did and was very happy.
I now live in another country but I recently returned there to see my parents and although it was nice I just felt really out of place in the area. It's hard to put my finger on why though, everything just felt weird, particularly with the people, the way they looked and sounded. I just felt very strange there.
I loved living there. There's so much going on and it's always exciting. Being a member of the royal family might get a bit tedious after a while with all the engagements having to open dull things all over the country but at least you'd live for free in a nice house!
At least I could spend time with Prince George and his brothers, it wouldn't be boring, I could teach Prince Louis a lot of mischief to do during ceremonies.😂
I was born in Doncaster England which through my young teen years I held up on a super high podium because that's where Louis Tomlinson from One Direction was from and had I stayed in the place I would have probably gone to the same school (though not at the same time)
I grew up in a middle class neighborhood in a medium size city in Northeast US. Everyone knew everyone, and we kids often got together to play all kinds of games in the streets, there weren't many cars. There were lots of small locally owned stores, all within walking distance. My mother often sent me to the local grocery to pick up supplies that she had ordered.
Iwas brought up in a suburb of a big city. It was a nice place to grow up in. There were a lot of woods we ran around in and a big pond nearby whare we skated. The schools were okay and I had lots of friends in the neighborhood.. The place is a real dump today. The town let builders develop every square inch. The schools are really bad and a lot of people moved out and property values have plummeted. I do not know many people I went to high school with that still live there.
I was born and still live in Lancing, West Sussex. In the 14th Century it was one of the largest ports in Europe. Then the Black Death hit and the village was abandoned, it hosts one of the most famous public (ie private) schools in England, and was lies immediately south west of the site of the Shoreham airport disaster. Oscar Wilde's bumchum died in a farmhouse in Lancing, and is also referenced in The Importance of Being Earnest with the character name of Lady Lancing. Leo Sayer was born and bred in Lancing, but got out as early as he could because basically it's a complete and utter shithole. Yes, when I visited my grandparents, many times jets were in the act of landing so it was loud. I didn't think about it because it was always that way to me. It wasn't when my grandparents bought that home around 1930.
