So I am on mental health break from law enforcement. We all going on a cruise soon. Im off for almost a year with limited duties. Other people are off as well. My brother in law is law enforcement with me. I woke up to a message today from our lieutenant. I’m in therapy and discovered that I have completely abandoned myself. In the midst of what we dealing with, we gotta let people go that’s driving our mental health down. My brother in law got his own place and he has time off as well. Our lieutenant texted us this morning to break contact with his soon to be ex wife. I don't know why it felt like a weight being lifted but it felt so good. Maybe that’s why I been feeling the way I have? I don’t know. My brother in law sent out a message saying to delete her from Facebook. Our lieutenant and law enforcement family feels like she’s just using us and keeping us around for her drama especially her family.
Have you ever felt a relief feeling so big?

Cause it's a release from stress and carrying huge burden. 2 of my cousins quit during COVID!
After they were more free and less stressed!
Especially if that person above you loves drama and creates it or puts people in that position.
Report them and maybe change careers or another law enforcement county.
Thanks so much! Yesss this stress come from people who wanna just use law enforcement like a tool box. When we broke off contact everyone felt better. All of us got a promotion but she will have to deal with her own karma and we want none of that
Great and yes some people like my supervisor only wants to use us as tools for her glory and praise.
Congrats and take a big break!
