One time when I was like 8 there was a heat wave during summer and one particularly hot day I was grocery shopping with my mom and I stuck my head under the little misters that go off over the vegetables in the produce aisle. She started freaking out and was really embarrassed even though it wasn’t big of a deal under the circumstances. I started doing it all the time whenever she made me go to the grocery store just to mess with her cuz it always made her freak out 🤣
I never really tried to mess with my parents like that, but there was one Summer when I found a little toy lizard at the beach, and so, I brought it home because "finders, keepers." 😛 Anyway, I brought it home and I think a day or two later, I decided that I wanted to scare someone with my lizard, but I couldn't put it out in plain sight because everyone already knew what my lizard looked like. So, I decided that the oven was the perfect spot. I placed my lizard on the oven rack, shut the door and I waited ALL DAY for someone to open the oven.
Finally, later that day, my dad was getting ready to start dinner and he opened the oven and just started laughing. He goes, "Hey, somebody put a lizard in the oven!" 😂
And then I had to retrieve my lizard.
I was so disappointed that my plan had failed. 🤦♀️😂

My dad was always more lenient on me than my mom, like he wouldn't stay mad at me no matter what i did. So when I was younger from about age 8 - 10 every once in a while me and my friend Nick would go upstairs while my dad was watching tv in his room and we would say "Hey you fat fuck, what are you doing?" He would get up pissed and chase us downstairs he would always grab Nick and literally throw him out the house like jazz from the Fresh prince and he would slap me but it was always hilarious and we would always bug my dad on the regular. My dad was a really fast runner so it was always exciting to get chased down 😂

These party poppers are about 2 inches in size and confetti pops out of them when you pull the string.
It was Independence Day and my parents were sitting on the couch. I said, "Look at this firework!" I didn't show them what was hidden in the palm of my hand and pulled the string.
It made a loud POP and my father curled up into my mother's lap as the confetti burst out towards them.
They were not as entertained as I was, to say the least.
Absolutely! It takes time and self-care, but getting over someone is totally possible. You might feel lost now, but focus on yourself and what makes you happy. Hang with friends, try new things, and remember your self-worth. It won't happen overnight, but eventually, you'll be ready to love again.
Whenever I was younger, I would hide under the clothes rack as my mom shop. seeing her freak out would make me laugh.
I use to hide my dad’s wallet and keys. 🤷🏽♀️😂
