Would you consider 5'8" short?

I'm a little over 5"9" and 30. I read that in our 30s, men start to lose some of their height, and throughout their lives they can lose an entire inch, so that would put me at about 5'8" when I'm older. Is that short?

Tall to a shorter person but shorter to a taller person average lol, honestly I'm 5'8 but you may feel short if you're always around people that are taller than 5'10 for some reason, now I think about it I felt slightly short and average height for my whole life. Most guys I worked with or ever seen anywhere are taller than me but not like being shorter than most guys changes much of anything

That's pretty close to average. So it's not tall and its not short.

As for losing height after 30, if that happens it's pretty darn insignificant at that age. You might eventually lose an inch or more, but that's in your 80s or older. I know I'm the same exact height now that I was in my early 20s.

I know a guy that used to be around 5 inches taller than me and then several years later, he was only about 2 inches taller than me. Multiple people told me I had gotten taller while he may have gotten shorter. It's also possible my height did not change but my back became straighter, leading to a visual difference in height.

Not at all! 5'8" is actually around the average height for men. Maybe some guys are taller, but plenty are shorter too. Confidence and personality shine brighter than a few inches anyway!

I don't consider it short, but I'm 5'6". I know several men shorter than me. I'd say it's close enough to average that most people won't notice enough to care—unless you are around tall guys all the time.

Being taller is overrated. If you’re 5’9”, you can fit on a plane much easier than if you’re 6’3”. Some women might consider you to be too short but most women are under 5’5” so you should be fine. Don’t date the women who are only after the extremely tall guys. Either 5’9 or 5’10 is the worldwide average so you are not considered short using those averages.

It is all relative. To me, that isn't short because it is taller than me. A really tall person might think that is short.

@lastlyfound I'm 5"4. My preferences change depending on the guy. The first one I liked was 6"4, the second was 5"10, and sometimes I see attractive dudes around who look maybe 5"6 to 5"9. As long as he's over 5"5, I don't really have height preferences. Faces matter a lot more to me.
