I think it's important it doesn't have to be in person but having people who understand you and you can talk about stuff with is important. I have many. I have people online my girlfriend my psychologist some counselors people I know irl and it's good to have different people because no person can give you good advice or can understand you in every way on every issue. So having different people to talk to is great.
I think ot s very important. Over half of Americans over 30 do not have at least one person that they can talk to about important stuff. We are literally all alone in the world.

I put enough effort in people such that I am able to maintain a position to continue to get whatever benefit I get by continuing to invest my time and energy in them if said benefit has a higher value then the value I assign to what I put in them.
Doesn't sound nice but reality is that all relationships are formed and maintained by what we get out of it

Very important. I have a few really good friends that I'm really close with. I'd take that over a bunch more friendly acquaintances for sure
I'm deeply concerned about anyone who honestly chose the second option.
I've had most of my friends for two generations or longer, and we know each other's strengths and weaknesses.(Of course, that's another way of saying I'm an old fart.)

It's hard for me as there are extremely few people who can follow everything of what I say. I have to constantly dumb talks down...😅
