If so, how?
I need help im desperate to try to create a small room that can be safe from outside noise (or at least minimize it)
I have a very anxious dog who gets very scared from fireworks. She would be shaking and trembling when there’s fireworks. The best i can do is comfort her and wrap her in blanket/distract her and give her hugs.
However for the next two weeks i will be traveling to see my boyfriend stationed in a different state. Very far away and i can't, in good conscience, put my dog in the cargo of a plane for 13 hours. Like i said she is already a very anxious dog.
Then i realized i will not be with her on July 4th. I can't imagine her anxiety especially if im not gonna be around. I will be leaving her with my mom. My mom loves her and will take care of her, but i really want to minimize her anxiety from fireworks when im gone. Maybe the small room under the stairs, if i can sound proof it from outside noise, but how?

Styrofoam, noise abatement panels, some people have used empty egg cartons, as well.
You can buy soundproof padding and try doing something with that, it's basically the same stuff they have on the walls in music studios.
