Should I add anything?

It’s my mum’s birthday soon. I’m trying to save up for a trip overseas to stay with my old USA friend and I’ve bought her a natural diamond pendant on a gold chain, for about $500. Should I add in some chocolates and flowers? Or is the diamond pendant enough, with maybe the chocolates? I’m on a minimum wage.

Girl, that diamond pendant sounds so beautiful! Honestly for your mom's bday I think just that piece alone would be perfect. Diamonds are like, the ultimate gift, ya know?

If money's tight, I wouldn't stress too much about adding extras. But if you wanted to put a little something else together, some nice chocolates would be a nice touch. Maybe get her favorite kind if you know what they are.

Or if you have any good pics of you and your mom from over the years, you could put them in a little photo frame? That's sentimental and doesn't cost much.

I'm sure she'll love whatever you do, sis! Diamonds are forever after all. Just be sure to tell her how much you appreciate her too - that's worth more than any gift. You're the best daughter, she's gonna be so happy!
