Style vs. Physique. Which is more important?
What are your style, physique preferences?
Styles come and go, physique usually means you are in good shape and taking care of your body!
Physique should be priority. Style is very optional. You won't die from a lack of style. You may very well die from a lack of good physique!
Health is very difficult to assess at a glance. I knew this guy who was handsome, ripped, and his skin was clear and glowing. Turned out he had a personality disorder and Aids.
You wouldn't be a bit concerned if your date showed up like this?
bleumagazine.com/.../model-1.jpg
Like I said, usually... not always. Exceptions are always there!
However, majority of times a good physique correlates to good physical and mental health.
... and, no, I wouldn't be fazed if my date showed up wearing the attire you have posted in the link. In my humble opinion, that's not as edgy as you'd think and pretty standard going by today's fashion.
Once again, physique over style any given day!
That's true, you did. And unfortunately that second point is kind of true lol.
Cheers!
I personally am not the most fashionable and usually am wearing very casual clothes like a t-shirt and jeans. Throw over a sweater or a jacket in winters.
I have
I have noticed that people like me irrespective of how I dress so as long as you don't look homeless, I believe you'll be fine.
I'm the same way. Casual outfits are still a style. Style is more about coordination for me. I have a hard time not chuckling when I see a cheetah print top mixed with zebra stripe pants or poka-dot pants mixed with flower print tops. Some people just throw on whatever makes the least sense.
I have a number of gray, white, and blue, tanks and tees that I'll just wear with jeans or sweats when I'm not in the mood to dress up. I'll obviously dress up for events or if I'm feeling a bit vain but I'm not too fussy most days.
When I'm not in scrubs I'm usually just relaxing at home or hanging out at a friends house so I go for comfort.
Exactly! I only dress up for special occasions. My birthday is not one of them. When I say special, I mean really special like once in a lifetime. A close friend getting married or a family reunion. A festival, perhaps.
I'm not unkempt by a long shot but I have a very average look where most of the time I look like a default character prototype that the video game gives you at the beginning to customise, haha!
That's okay haha. I showed up to a Christmas party in leggings and an artfully knotted oversized tee. I just threw on some accessories like makeup, earrings, hair clips and these heeled knee high boots. I looked hot by the time I was done lmao. I'll do the most to avoid changing sometimes.
I have plenty 10 dresses (7 of them are gifts). I just don't have enough special occasions to get used to dressing up.
I knotted it like that (I'm not white, though)

*I have 10
Okay, this is a little embarrassing but I have a lot of clothes... like I have three wardrobes filled with clothes but I only wear from like 10% of it.
Just like you, most of the garments I own are gifts but I will have to admit I have a bad habit of spending money when I have nothing better to do.
Good thing I'm on anonymous! π
By the way, I like that look. The one in the link. It would go perfectly with the leggings.
I also agree that style is more about matching what you are wearing than having that shock factor of wearing something outrageous but then again that's an opinion but it's mine, too... so, yayyy us!
I'm guessing you're from somewhere in Europe.. do you think I'm the international budget police?π
I'm horrible about spending on books. I always read them but they add up really fastπ.
Thanks and you already know.. great minds think alike.
Where do you store all of those clothes?
Well, no, not really. However, I don't like to talk about my flaws, haha! So, me being on anon hides that!
Also, I have lived in Europe (England and Germany) before and I'll probably be going back to England come next summer so you are not that far off!
Like I said, I have these three huge closets I keep them in. I have been planning on giving some of my old things away but just never got around to doing that.
I used to buy books, too! Now I just illegally download them and transfer them to my iPad. (another flaw)
Who would've thought going on anonymous would be so liberating? π€£
That "cheers!" gave you away haha. You're spilling all this tea on yourself.
Which country do you live in now? Or is that too personal?
U. A. E., and it's alright. It's not too personal. π
Isn't that expensive?
It is!
One of more expensive places to be. I have lived in Shanghai for a while, though.
Nothing will compare to the prices there, though.
Might I add, living in London is quite expensive, too.
So you've got a lot of money. Good for you lol. I want to live abroad someday too.
No comment, haha! π
Best of luck with everything, moving abroad that is! π
You're a smart guy anonπ. Thank you! And enjoy the U. A. E. I hear it's amazing.
Styles come and go. Physique to me, if maintained, is better.
Neither are enough on their own. If a guy is desperate or a sex pig then I would be turned off immediately.
That's a whole nother topic.
Agree. Style is easy, a body doesn't really matter as long as he's in okay shape. I cannot stand SEX PIGS who also act desperate in my opinion.
Mix of both. One can seriously compensate for the other when one is lacking.
My thoughts too. But do you think one has more power to "compensate"?
Good points.

Both are important. They complete each other
But which has more of an impact on you when weighed against each other. Say an average looking guy has really good taste and a guy with a nice body/face dresses in clothes that make your eyes hurt. Would you be more drawn to the stylish 1 or the physically attractive 1?
Then physique.
Physique.
physique is key..
