Personally, I've used straighteners to curl my hair occasionally. Sometimes after taking a shower, I'd braid my hair before wrapping with a hair scarf for overnight.

I have machine that sucks your hair into it and does it for me, hate those things they burn me.. only thing i dislike about the machine is the fact that my hair sometimes gets caught in it :(.

That looks cool, and I hate when that happens too.
Yeah horrible lol, its so scary when your hair is stuck and you can't get it out!!
Its decent though and works very well :)
I got an Instant Wave hair curler for Christmas last year and it's awesome! It's got a diamond infused layer on the rod that makes even the frizziest of hair smooth out. Definitely the only tool I use to curl my hair.
I've never used a curling iron, but I remember seeing someone use that once.
It's really cool. So easy to use and it only takes maybe 5 secs for the curl to set. You don't even need to use hairspray. In fact, the less hair products you use with the curling iron the better the results.
I never knew that. Thank you! ๐
Wrong emoji. ๐
Lol. You're welcome. ๐
Desperate my hair into sections and use a curling wand, dry shampoo for texted, and hairspray for hold.
After I let a curl loose from the curler I don't let it fall. I instead use a bobby pin and pin it to my head while it cools. The creates and tighter curl.
That's awesome! ๐
I haven't seen anyone else do that. My hair is wavy to curly. I let it dry naturally. Then I use a round brush and a blowdryer and straighten my bangs and the ends of my hair. The result is a meticulously messy look. It looks more polished when I use the hair straightener and straighten my hair and then curl them with the straightener, but it's quicker and easier, plus less heat damage.
My hair is naturally curly but to enhance it, I add curling gel. And on days it's straightened but I want a specific curl, I use small soft dollar store rolls that come in a pack of 6-8 and sleep at night wake up n take them out, flexible hair spray and if there's one stubborn curl then I'll use the wand to fix it.
I don't like to use heat so I use mouses and braids and rollers, and I honestly find the best thing is just letting my hair dry naturally since me hair is wavy but it curls when it dries. Otherwise, leaving it in plaits overnight when damp works wonders, as long as you don't brush them out just run your hands through your hair in the morning, so it doesn't go puffy
I use the Curl Secret tool (by Conair, I think)! It sucks up a piece of your hair and curls it without you having to do any work or worry about burning yourself. Itโs amazing!
I've heard that it's amazing.
i twist it in however tight curls i want then put my straightener over it or i wrap my hair around a pencil and go over it with the straightener
(i don't have a curlying iron
I never used the pencil technique before. That's interesting.
that's how i was taught cause my family has 1 straighter and it doesn't heat up
I either braid it, twist it, do Bantu knots, or use flexirods. I don't like using heat on my hair because it damages it.
What are Bantu knots and flexirods? ๐ฎ
Well flexirods are these bendy flexible curling rods, and Bantu knots are when you twist your hair up like this https://youtu.be/AURbiW5qBsk
That video was fascinating to watch. The technique looked familiar once I've seen the knots. Thank you for sharing. ๐โบ
Naturally curly. I just dampen my hair with water and wait overnight 😁
You're lucky. ๐
I actually use a flat iron cuz Iโm too scared to use an actual curling iron lol (I straighten my hair often so Iโm more comfortable with that heating tool)
I know right. Haha
I feel like Iโll burn my hair off with a curling iron from watching that video of that girl doing the same thing a few years ago lmao
Oh my goodness! The girl, who had a breakdown over burning off a tiny section of her hair?
Yep lol. I feel like Iโll end up doing that accidentally to every section of my hair hahah
๐๐๐ I know right. Using a straightener has been easier for me.
i know, plus it doesn't take anywhere near as long for me as it does for somebody using a curling iron xD
Exactly ๐
My hair is curly, so I use Moroccan Oil Curling Creme in my hair after I shower and let it air dry. I fix the weird pieces with my flat iron.
I have naturally curly hair so all I do is let it dry lol, but if I want neater curls I would curl it with a curling iron, I use a 1 in rod
I use a curling wand... im too uncoordinated to use a straightener.
I let it air dry and that curls it. But since I cut it shorter itโs not as wavy anymore so I scrunch it up while itโs drying and that helps give a bit of floof back in it.
Well I use all if them and curlers and also there is a technique where u can get hella curls but not sure how to explain it
My hair is naturally curly. โ
