Red, generally, is considered a power color. It exudes power and can be intimidating, especially when paired with high heels. It speaks to a confident, bold, expressive personality. Some men will find it threatening (not as in they run away in fear- I hope) and may be hesitant to approach a woman wearing red. I would say red makes a woman look sexy and secure with herself. Red is also commonly associated with danger or threat. Some men find that tantalizing and it's a perfect compliment to a flirtatious personality.

I find I get the most attention somehow with a red dress. Have two of the same dress one in back one in red and wearing red was just too overwhelming in terms of attention... It’s eye catching no doubt, but some men turn into bulls 😂 made me a bit uncomfortable But red is definitely a sexy, sensual colour.
I think it is a thing. Now I have heard that girls should not wear red lipstick to causal functions because it implies too much and I think that kind of applies here

Always eye catching. But then cut of the fabric and how it fits also affects my opinion. For instance, the first girl looked young and flirty. The second dress looks very elegant, like I would want to wine and dine her before a walk through Central Park. The last girl, and it may just be the black and red mix with her hair and heals but she looks like she wants to seduce someone as much as I want to seduce her. The dress is more loose at the ends but unlike the first girl, it isn't a young flirty look. It is more classical
This is really simple-- guys don't care about clothes. Not really. Not like girls do. SO, again, to answer the question, this is simple, regarding the red dress: Is the girl hot? Then it's hot. Is she not? Then it's not. A dress, red or not, or any other clothing for that matter, does not make an unattractive girl more attractive-- she's not going to be wearing any clothes when she's naked in front of us ready to get fucked. That's how we think about this sort of thing.

I don't agree totally with that. I won't care what clothes you wear but you do care how she looks. And there a few psychological effects that can change impressions of someone. Color is an important one. And you can use these principles to have flaws and accentuate beauty points. Same with makeup and hairdo. You might not consciously look for them but unconsciously they do effect you.
@JohnFrost Sure, basic hygiene and not looking slovenly definitely matter, for sure-- my point is that putting on a really nice, expensive, form-fitting dress and heels doesn't make a girl more attractive if the form UNDER the dress is fat/flabby/unattractive.

I know but you can pick clothes that fit your form to make you better looking. And the impact of first impressions is very important here to. Like makeup is not part of hygiene. And good makeup when you don't clearly see that someone is wearing it can enhance someone's look.
A girl in a bright red dress, is noticed, tend to look more beautiful, more classy, and more desirable. Every girl ought to wear a red dress once in a while.

Why would the color really matter? Does the color of some guy's tshirt really make a difference? I can see, if a certain color suits someone, that I might have a preference (eg. the blue making the color of ber eyes POP!).
Yes the color can make a difference it can accentuate their features. Some people look more attractive in a certain color. So, yeah red does make a person more attractive just because it's eye-catching.
