Why do women go bare legged when wearing a skirt in cold weather? Why do they avoid wearing pantyhose? Is it that important to "follow the rules" of fashion that they need to risk hypothermia or frostbite?

That seems more fashionable to me than bare legs on a cold day, but I see women bare legged all the time on a cold day, and wonder how they can stand it.

To me, leg wear is a fashion item that can often make an outfit.

Even neutral pantyhose gives your legs a nice even, matte look !!!

I can understand the discomfort factor, especially from the cheap kind found in Wal Mart, etc. I heard that some of the higher end brands, such as Wolford, are comfortable.

But, yes, bare legs are cute, but so are pantyhose. I just feel bad when I see a woman in winter wearing a skirt with no stockings on their legs for protection.
