Masks illustrate all the worst of humanity.
Clearly, their efficacy was beyond questionable. Not only did they not work, but it is extremely likely that they are net harmful to the wearer.
But they sustained all the theatre and all the shitshow, and highlighted the psychological weaknesses of humanity. People wore them, and still do wear them, presumably because it gave one a sense of control, the idea that one, by making a sacrifice, or by being 'good', you can control an outcome.
I also met far too many people who were even angry at wearing them, knew they were bollocks, but were too scared of standing out or had a fear of getting into trouble. Plus they dehumanise the wearer, you're less likely to see that person's humanity when they wear a mask. I mean, it was always telling that there was all these celebrity events where the celebrities didn't have to wear mask, but all the background workers were masked or 'slaved' up.
Masks are the biggest abomination.
It's become a habit at this point. So I don't like it or hate it, because the mask is pretty much there. Also it's not anything like having to wear a gas mask everyday or a full on scuba diving setup. That and it does not compare to being on life support. Before covid start I was on live support for several weeks and got to experience the joys of having a tracheotomy cleaned out at least once a day.
In general the whole mask mandates fell into the it could be worse category for me. I don't care how mean it makes me sound. I feel like the people crying about wearing a mask should be forced to experience something worse for a entire day. Out them in a gas mask for a entire day and see if they piss and moan about a gas mandate after that.
Actually yes! As an introvert, I honestly don't mind wearing masks in public... particularly at work-
Not to mention, it's a great way to mutter something under your breath or make a facial expression without someone being able to see it, haha. I'm sorry but there are times I do NOT feel like pretending to smile at people. Wearing a mask hides my "resting bitch face," or mood. Or if I don't feel like speaking up, I can say, "Sorry, you couldn't hear me because of my mask..." Works every time.
I still have to wear masks at my job due to my profession (healthcare) so it will be a while until we stop wearing masks, assuming they allow us to.
Some days it can suck but I don't mind. I choose to still wear mine most of the time even though the UK doesn't really have covid restrictions anymore. I an triple vaccinated but I still haven't got covid yet and I suppose mask wearing helps. I bought about 30 triple layer reusable ones that I wash and re-use and I figure I'll try to use them as much as I can. I like to coordinate some of them with different outfits too.

No, i don't like masks... i understand their use but ugh can't wait to be able to walk around without
You like being controlled by some leftist mandate. You should try Russia. You do not have Right to move freely around nor speak freely.
I know you have never been introduce to The Bill of Rights, however, it the basis of this Republic. Republic is different from Democrscy. Democracy is a centralizing of one-sided Government. The next step for a country that is democratized is Communist dictator like Putin or a Politburo (Oligarchs) like Russia State is structured. Both are designed for Elites to suck Resources into their own wallet…wealth building while the whole country population starves.-Like Russia.
Having people mumble incoherent shouts at me was just GREAT, thanks. But I'm lucky. My best friend has Asperger's, and completely lost the ability to read human faces, because all the cues he was used to seeing disappeared. He'd barely leave the house unless I was with him, because he needed a translator, and most people would just think he was mocking them, otherwise.
Want to know what it's like? Tomorrow, put in some earplugs and head into a store or something you've never been to before, and when someone asks if you need help, sign to them "I can't read your lips when your mouth is covered". See how they react. Two years of this mess, and probably not one in a hundred has learned even a WORD of ASL (or their local equivalent). Maybe one in ten will even have the brains to pull out a pencil and paper and just write down what they want to say.
I have a friend who lived in Colorado for a while and she moved back here to Tennessee. She said people out there wear masks like they are doing you a favor, but when here, she said that we Tennesseeeans barely wear them in comparison. Anyone I’ve talked to who moved from New York or “mostly” California, has all said that they moved to get away from their state. The ones I’ve personally talked to said they love our “southern” way of life because our taxes aren’t as wild and we’re not as restrictive to things
I work at a gun shop and an ex New Yorker said he paid $1200 to get and AR there when here it would have been $900.
ALSO, you’re insanely beautiful, like “we dare not touch the sun” beautiful. Like someone said, you look better without a mask. For whatever it’s worth
I rarely went out. But I did not feel any kind of problem with masks from before covid.
Japan used masks, so I did not see it unusual.
In fact , I would prefer for all to wear masks now.
People have trouble speaking so they speak only when it is essential.
I also noticed that girls look way more beautiful with masks on. The eyes do the magic I guess. People also have a new fashion. I like it very much.
Its a win-win I think. But not for athletes as the lungs require more vacuum generation than the regular one. Which can lead to failure and rupture even.
I am used to them. I wear one similar to the N95 one. They keep me more texted from people who are sick, and from me giving anything I may have to others. Your masks are nice and they match your outfits. However if these are cloth, you might want to wear two of the same.
I hated wearing a mask at the beginning. Because I was being told to. But now, I really dont mind and still wear one. Just because people are stinky, nasty mofos. Walk in the bathroom just to take a quick piss and it smells like I walked in CAFO. Or to hide me smiling on an interview because I feel like an idiot for lying to the boss.
I've noticed your masks matching your outfits, they look cute!
I was annoyed at first too, but then I realized I was granted the perfect opportunity to walk around looking like a big ass kitten, so I took it.
Two questions here.
1. I do not like having to be FORCED to wear a mask, when those making the mandates- those politicians whose salary WE pay- set a bad example by not wearing theirs. I take one with me so that in case some dolt raises a fuss, I just put it on, do my business wherever I am, and get out of the place- ASAP!
2. I'd like to get a better. peek at that last one, but you look nice in the outfits- make or no mask.
I used to have to wear it at the gym. I do a HIIT workout and it was hard to breathe. I bought a few of those masks that have the valves in them and took the rubber piece out so the air could get through.
I was vaccinated a year ago and after that I stopped wearing masks. I still get dirty looks but I don't care.
I still wear a mask sometimes. I went to the dentist today and, though the building has relaxed the mask requirement, the dentist office still follows hospital protocol, both customers and staff wear masks, except, of course, the customer when they're having their teeth worked on.
I only wore a mask for the first 2 weeks of the pandemic after that I tossed that shit. I didn't go anywhere that required it other than a few doctors visits.
I like trying to prevent acquiring viruses with cloth masks as much as I like trying to keep mosquitos out with a chainlink fence. The “science” has pretty much settled on mask use being mostly ineffective with the unintended consequence of being very damaging to early childhood development (turns out infants and toddlers must see faces in order to learn how to bond with people), so it annoys me that there are still mask requirements anywhere.
So doctors shouldn't wear masks when preforming surgery... because they are ineffective... got it.
@michael1469 Try again. I said “cloth masks,” not “surgical masks.” Also, the conditions in a hospital are much more controlled than in crowded, unsanitary areas. The data are clear. Public mask usage did little to prevent the spread of the cough.
Some covering is better then no covering.
I couldn't care less about *wearing* the mask.
*HOWEVER*
I don't at all like having to talk with people wearing masks. Humans are evolved to respond to faces and their expressions. We generally have an innate negative reaction when we cannot see people's faces and read their expressions. I was alarmed when I heard people suggest that we continue to wear masks even after COVID subsides. I will be grateful to return to a time when I can see the faces of those I interact with.
I sure do, I get hit on less and don't have to worry about what facial expression Im wearing. Even though the mandate lifted in my state outdoors except for while in establishments and public transportation. I still wear mine while bike riding or going out and about. Feels good to just be able to walk by and not have anyone really look at you and try to bother you. Or god forbid, remember you as a blast from the past, groannn i hate those.
I hated wearing the muzzle, didn't wear it until work tried to force me to do it. All a bunch of fear mongering, as well as control and manipulation in an attempt to dominate people. Glad they finally got rid of the masks at work, but, I don't expect it to last long.
To be honest, I love those outfits. Now wearing a mask at first for me was a little forgetful, when people had to first start wearing mask, I would sometimes forget to bring mine or wear it because I wasn't used to it. Soon enough masks came to an end. I don't know... I still wear mine sometimes because without it, it feels weird, but yeah. I do kind of miss wearing a mask, but not as much though.
Not really. But it was people like you who made it fun and sexy.
And I appreciate that because that's what kept me going it seems somebody like you it made it all work but I always wondered very deep down I wonder what she would wear with lingerie LOL that's another thing that kept me going so I thank you very much
i don't like them, sometimes when it gets a bit hard to breathe i start to get mild anxiety (nothing serious, my heart just starts beating a bit faster and i get uncomfortable). i feel like your outfits still would've looked better if you were without a mask (i just feel like it blocks out too much of the face) but your outfits by themselves are quite cute.
First, I would like to say that you are so beautiful and I love your fashion sense. Second, I Love mask. I was use to wearing mask before COVID even started, so wearing them every day never bothered me. I also match my mask to my outfit. My favorite is when I wear all black with a black mask, because I like to pretend I’m a Shinobi 🥷🏻
