All of the photo examples displayed in the question are of men wearing dresses that are designed for women.

Men who wear non-bifurcated clothing designed for men would have an entirely different look. My opinion is that the modern 'western' attempts to design dresses for men are severely 'stuck' in feminine thinking. It's going to take a revolutionary designer to be able to come up with manly dresses.

There are many reasons why some men wear non-bifurcated clothing. Most people who have any interest in the subject know what they are. There's no need to relist them here.

I sometimes wear casual, short skirts, designed and altered myself from denim jeans and also cargo shorts.

To me, they look manly, and they are certainly more comfortable than having a wad of cloth continually bunched up in my crotch.

I also shave my entire body, not in an attempt to appear feminine, but simply because I like how smooth skin looks and feels. I feel that shaved legs go hand in hand with wearing clothing that exposes the leg, shorts included. That's just me, though.

I mean that bassist wears it pretty well. But I would say guys look bad in "current" dresses.

If male dresses became a thing, we would have our own version. Kinda like you don't have many guys in tutus, but a buff guy in a kilt looks awesome.

So the male dress would be something darker and more angular that would emphasize different parts of the body or in different ways. Bold, minimalistic, angular pin-striping with deep colors.

I could also picture either a higher neckline or a plunging v that goes probably halfway down the body. Maybe more if they have abs to show. And then it would have to go with a necklace that brings the eyes down, but it wouldn't necessarily be a thin sparkly necklace. Something thicker. Or if they look like Jason Mamoa, thatch necklaces and thicker chain necklaces.

Like I think if guys went for this, they could make it look pretty sick. It's just that we're thinking of womens' dresses when we try to picture it.

Men are valued for their accomplishments. Women are valued for their looks. There are exceptions to these rules but this is usually the case. And I'm not saying a woman is valued in a relationship simply for her looks. When it comes to serious relationships she needs to have good character that the guy values. Of course if the guy is dumb his standards will be lower than the guy who isn't dumb. Same for how women value men... a dumb woman will value a man with zero accomplishments.

Beyond that.. you try trimming a tree while wearing a dress. Or fixing a car, doing plumbing, fixing utility lines, digging a ditch, hauling concrete, or cooking around open fires and so on. Most of the manly stuff men do would be more dangerous or harder to do if they did it with a dress on. It's like asking why construction workers don't wear high heels.

besides that, there are a lot of clothes for men that some men do not look good in it, but they still wear it all the time so no, I do not think that is the main factor... lmfao

for the average dude who looks more or less like Jonah Hill, wearing a dress is only gonna reduce his already limited sex appeal to a joke.
