Have you ever been model scouted and if so how did you feel about it?

I recently went into a sports shop with a friend as we are both trying to get fit again since Christmas and I got stopped by a two men and a lady they were probably I'm their late 30s to 40s I'd caught them stairing at me for a while and I was really worried they were gonna accuse me of stealing or something.

But they asked me if I'd be willing to model for their business as they said they owned a surf/clothing brand and that I had the look they were going for.

I was shocked as I'm very small and a little chubby but they said my hair was amazing I do get a lot of comments about my hair as its very blonde, thick and wavy some people say I need to comb it and others like it.

I was really shy and uncomfortable about the whole thing and made it awkward as I'm not used to getting that attention yes I've been model scouted before but as a child never in my adult life and I've always been to shy to do it.

I feel like when people say nice things to me they are only saying it because they feel sorry for me or because they are making fun of me behind my back.

My friend said I should do it and it be easy money but I know nothing about surfing I'm from the city.

The woman asked to take a quick photo of me and gave me her number and I said I'd have a think about it
