I was just called that for asking if a girl had pretty hair. It seems like people through terms around without considering what they mean.
These days it's probably safer just to not say anything.
When I was a young kid in a group in the street neighbors wouldn't think twice about each yelling out from their houses, keeping us in line. Watch for cars you aren't paying attention. Stop yelling, etc. now everyone's so paranoid people are afraid to protect another persons child if a situation arose.
The door swung open toward a child in a restaurant recently, a man instinctively put his hand on the kids head before the door hit it. I thought bravo, nice save. But the mother who had her back turned, swung around, had a flash reaction, her face getting defensive.
The man explained and others around supported and she fluffed him off, as if he hadn't just saved the kid a bad knock.

People get easily offended by anything nowadays.
Laughing at all the girls saying that it isn't a problem. That shows their privilege in the situation. As a male, you can't go around calling a child cute. I've only gotten away with it when my wife is with me and we both say it together. If I were alone and did that (I never do), I would be called a creep.
Hell, even female teachers can engage sexually with a student in junior high, and get let off with probation or less and not go on the registry but a male teacher would be sentenced to 10 + years in prison and put on the registry immediately.
Sexual attraction of a minor is pedo behavior. Observing a child being cute isn't sexual. Kids do/say cute things all the time.

Oh no, thinking a child is cute or complimenting aspects like their hair is generally seen as a normal and benign reaction. It's pretty common for people to appreciate cute or admirable traits in children, much like how we might admire a beautiful painting or a scenic landscape. It's all about the context and the intention behind the comment. Sometimes, unfortunately, people might misinterpret things or use terms without fully understanding their gravity. It's important to remain clear about our intentions and maybe be a bit more cautious about how and where we express our compliments. Remember, it's all about keeping things respectful and kind. ✨

No, I don't think so. You can call anyone "cute". You're only a pedo if you have sexual thoughts involving children or if you want to have sex with a child.
It's not pedoish if you think a child is cute. But if you're sexually attracted to kids, then yeah that makes you a pedo (not good).
No, but men should keep those thoughts to themselves or else people will treat them like they're a pedo
It's fine to think kids are cute as long as your not attracted to them
Depends on How Far They Would Carry for a Red Flag. xxoo
No, pedo means to be sexually attracted to children before the age of puberty. A face isn’t a sexual organ.
It’s normal for people to think a baby or toddler looks cute.Unless you are sexually attracted to the child, you are not a pedophile
there is nth wrong with calling a kid cute, as long as the intentions aren't evil
No?
Who the hell called you that?
People are crazy
You got called out on here? Relax. It happens all the time.
