Is being thought of as "hot" something everybody can achieve if they work hard enough on their physical appearance or it's genetics?

Genetics plays a large part.
People can maximize their attractiveness by being in good physical condition. But their natural body shape makes it easier to be hot. Some people are just naturally gorgeous.
Some people don't have naturally attractive faces.
Attractive skin is important.
Shorter guys can be cute and attractive, but being taller is an advantage. Bone structure is important. So is good hair. Minimum dick size is also a factor.
Beyond getting fit, there's not much that women can do about their natural body shape. Certain body shapes with smooth, round curves, are thought of more universally as hot. But then again, different guys have different tastes. Some prefer big boobs, some prefer small. Some prefer thin women and some go crazy over thick hips, thighs, and huge asses. Sex appeal is subjective.
But there are other factors besides genetics. Style can make a person hotter. Grooming, hair style, nails, clothes. Makeup for women. Facial hair for men.
And personality plays a huge role. Some people have charisma and sex appeal. Intellect and wit can also be extremely appealing. So can talent.
But, in general, I think "hot", as opposed to appealing, has more to do with genetics.
People use these words differently. I think when most people use words like 'pretty' and 'beautiful' it refers mostly to the face. Not much can be done to drastically change the face other than plastering tons of make-up, which most guys don't like. Although a nice smile makes a huge difference no matter what else they look like.
'Hot' on the other hand tends to mean sexually attractive. So it is far more than just the face. Someone with an average, or even below average face, can be hot. As long as they keep themselves trim and healthy looking. Then through a combination of their dress, body language, movements and attitude, I think most women can be hot.
I have seen women with below average faces who are far hotter than a woman who is a 10 in the face. Some women just exude sexuality, and the face is only a minor factor.
So I would not say that everyone can achieve hotness, but most can. I think it would take a lot of work for some, like if they have a crappy attitude and a resting bitch face. Because that is largely about the inner self, which is harder to change.
I know people who exercise and diet obsessively and devote their entire lives to perfecting their appearance to attract men and their likelihood of divorce and rejection is the same as everyone else, if not even higher.
In the end, being nice, and having a healthy but reasonable interest in fitness is what matters. Normal people want normal people and not olympic runners or fashion models.
A women who devotes even a fraction of her life to taking care of her appearance is easily hotter than most women in the U. S. age 20-30 demographic.
Eat much less (which saves both time and money), exercise a few times per week or not at all, bare minimum hygiene and skincare, etc.
Easily a "hot" girl by American standards !! (: Anything more is "excessive" by those standards
For women working hard and having the right weight is not enough. Unfortunately women need to change some features too. Unlike hot men women need plastic surgeries and even after those changes very few of them can look hot. Still if we remove their makeup most of them will look pale.
The perception of being "hot" is subjective and influenced by both genetics and the effort one puts into their appearance. While genetics play a role in features, anyone can enhance their attractiveness through grooming, fashion, fitness, and confidence. It's about finding what makes you feel good and accentuating your unique traits. 🌟 Confidence and self-care often shine brighter than any genetic trait. Keep smiling and embracing your individuality! 😄

I think even an ugly guy could become hot or hot-ish, if he spent a lot of time working out and got into really good shape. He probably couldn't become a 10, but he could definitely become f**kable, which I think is what "hot" means.
Most women could be at least somewhat attractive if they got their body fat low enough, as long as their muscle tone was decent. If that wasn't enough to make them hot, breast implants would probably get them over the line.
So yeah, like ninety to ninety-five percent of people could become hot, if they really really wanted to.
Genetics play a huge role in how hard it is. BUT if you're a girl, you can control so much of your attractiveness.
For example, if you're in the U. S., then just by having a fit body + taking good care of your skin + thoughtful styling, you are instantly in the top 10-20% of womenâand this assumes you have an ugly face.
If you have an average / above-average face, then you can become *extremely* hot just by mastering these elements that are entirely within your control.
Other people have said it better than me: an American girl just needs to be "not fat" in order to be instantly "hot". That's how dire the dating pool is today lol.
I think it is a lot more than just looks to really be hot. How someone moves, their voice, their attitude, their personality all play into it. Yes, good hygiene, and personal care are part of it. But, there's a certain "it" factor that the person just has.
Well we know some people pay good bucks to get that something special with hiring trainers, movement coaches, voice coaches, etc. to appeal to the masses.
I agree. But, when the masses start to see behind the mask, if there isn't something more there that is authentic, the fall from grace can be far.
No, sad truth is no, some people just loose at the genetic lottery. Some people have stunt growth or get nothing from puberty so they always look like a child so only a pedo would find them hot, tragic birth defects leave some people all messed up and stuck in a wheelchair...
Point is there are some people that will never meet societies idea of hot despite how much effort they put in.
What makes a person more attractive is their health. Now that GLP-1 drugs are available, and will soon become affordable, those that have issues dropping weight will be able to do so. I happen to be on maintenance medication and until a better replacement comes along, that medication makes losing weight hard. But l will take the weight gain over why l am on maintenance medication to begin with.
Well, the woman shown in the photo certainly has the essence of hotness. It's not simply looks though. It usually entails an attitude, intelligence and certainly confidence, The hair blown look as shown in pic is often a part of the hot formula. It's also in the eyes, mouth and even then its more than physical. I've met women who were not conventionally beautiful but had hot nailed and some who were very attractive but didn't create the desire that hot often does.
Not everybody. But you can almost always make yourself look better. Especially all that's holding you back is a big body and a chubby face.
A lot of people would be really good looking if they dropped 50 pounds
Literally this
Before worrying about genetics, just don't be fat...
Itâs gotta be both Iâd imagine. Some people are gonna be just born naturally hot but lifestyle choices can make them lose it. Others can be born less attractive and definitely do the work to get themselves where they wanna be in terms of hot.
Eh... you can go a long way on hard work, but I think "hot" boils down to genetics more often than anyone wants to admit.
It's a bit of both those things. But most importantly being hot is connected to self confidence. If you're not confident chances are very low that you'll be regarded as hot I think.
I agree with the sentiment, but in my opinion no amount of confidence can make a fat girl "hot".
Likewise, a girl who is in good shape can be "hot" with very little confidence given how dismal the competition has become.
I guess it's a matter of perspective.
Says it all.
Ultimately, âhotnessâ is subjective; what one person finds attractive, another might not.
This is true, sure, but within ones culture where there are at least a few standards of what most people at base would consider hot, I think you know if you fall into that category or not by the amount of people you attract. Of course it doesn't matter if you don't care about numbers, but just attracting 'the one.'
Good looking, universally attractive people make up somewhere less than 5% of the general population. They are generally attractive to all members of the opposite sex.
I can promise you, the other 95% of people aren't as sought after. We're not all equally attractive, that's not how looks work.
Good looking men and women are the exception.
Most people can achieve that through hard work even if they weren't born genetically blessed.
No there is limits. Some people can do all they can even plastic surgery and when angelina joile steps into the room they pale into nothing. Really genetics decides ur beauty. But again beauty is very shortlived
It's genetics, there is ways to get fake beauty but it not worth as much as natural beauty.
people can do thinks to improve their appearance and sometimes a makeover can contribute to hotness but half of it is genetics.
Genetics and sometimes surgery. But no, not everyone can achieve it.
No. Genetics matter but the way the that person CARRIES they're natural hotness is much more important
Nope, and the reason being is this. Every girl that I have or will date is a 10 to me. Even if she is only a 3 to everyone else. So what is hot to one person may be ice to anotherâŚ.
It is a mix and although we pretend like it isn't, intelligence is also a mix of work and genetics.
They have to have some good genes to begin with. Starting as a 0 wonât work
No not everyone, some people still canât look good even with plastic surgery
Depends on which age they begin with it but yes hypothetically anyone can be hot at some point of their lives.
Well, genetics has a lot to do with it, but some people can improve to some extent
Itâs genetics. Some people just arenât hot in any way.
Genetics. If you're built like a potato in pencil legs then it's going to take a lot of work
By someone, yes. By everyone, no one is that.
Yeah, you can get there. A small percentage can't I guess because of glandular setbacks.
It's both. But it's much harder for people who have bad genes.
Everyone can become the best version of themselves. But for everyone that is not "hot".
If you Kim K in sweats with no make up, youâd be inclined to say yes.
I think it is a package of looks, attitude, poise and vibe.
to a degree... the way you dress, and your body shape can go a long way
To a certain degree, but itâs mostly genetic
I think it's possible
For example a 50 yo will consider a slim 25 yo hot if she's toned
No, it is not.
Itâs a combination of both
definitely genetic
At least body wise
I say both gotta work at it.
Yes and no. Itâs perception really
It's going to be a mix of both.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
It's mostly genetics in my opinion.
About 80% of women and 30% of men can.
Genetics
Genetics
It's both
