Why do men get mad when women rate themselves or other women as attractive or 10/10?

A bit tied to my last question. Just got me thinking maybe women can see beauty in more things in comparison to men? Im mostly wanting to see where the poll goes between the genders

If you thought of a beautiful vista it might be something like the Swiss alps with pine trees and snow. It would be impossible to say it is not beautiful.

It might take a little effort to see beauty in the arid Australian outback but it is there if you look right. The first part of my answer is there is... if you look right.

In terms of women, there is likely to be something I like most about her appearance. I might like her hair or the shape of her torso or legs. Enjoy the best parts is my view. :)

I am quite sure I have a proto woman hard coded in my reptillian brain and the primitive sex circuits pattern matches every woman against that proto woman. And responds with Phoar if there is a high conformity.

Due to our sex circuits we do have some absolute sense of male and female beauty; quite unlike vistas.

A morbidly obese woman might fail our beauty standard at every possible level and we would think her deluded if she rated herself 10/10.

The second part of my answer is that due to sex, we have absolute beauty standards for women that we don't have for anything else. It applies in the inverse as well.

In a way, I guess you could say that. Even if someone doesn't fit conventional beauty standards, they definitely possess some other trait that makes them appealing, or magnetic in someone else's eyes. We just have to look beyond traditional definitions of beauty (a quality that makes an object or person appealing to the senses) with the eyes of the soul. Nothing is useless. Every living being has its purpose. One can find a certain charm even in the mundane and ordinary aspects of life, asymmetry and imperfection.. It's more about a mindset, whether you view life from a glass half empty or glass half full perspective.

There can BE beauty in anything BUT that doesn't mean something IS beautiful. Most people wouldn't say the mathematics behind quantum physics is beautiful but to those who understand it, it's absolutely amazing.

The notion that EVERYONE is beautiful as long as you're female is toxic and if women want men to take them seriously then they should ALSO be doing the same with men and rate them ALSO as 10/10 when in fact women DO the exact opposite. Matter of definition really and how much your gonna bend the definition of beauty. If we look very objective towards one thing then its definitely a no. Sometimes things are just ugly. If you look at it more philosophically then yes.

Simple example, lets say someone is very ugly. Nobody would suddenly say they are beautiful and be genuine about it. But if you don't mean looks and you look at the miracle that life can exist at all, all the inner workings of their body and the intricacies that make up that being / item there should be beauty to be found in that.

Yes and no.. Most women who rate them selves a 10 out of 10 are delusional at best. I have seen women who are 2's at best rate them selves as 10's. And then behave as if they deserve men who are also 10's. the delusion is comical.

I know for a fact i am not a 10. I would never claim it. My wife is way hotter than me, yet she isn't a perfect 10.. because a perfect 10 means no flaws inside and out. Both of us are flawed people. We both accept that and embrace that. And we both have what we want.

Also you missed something I said. As a man. If I separate the fact that I fell in love with her pretty much at first sight. Meaning take away that part of my self that both loves and adores my wife.. Then she's not a 10. But you add in the history, the fact that when I was in the hospital, before we were even dating, and she came to visit me from 4 hours away daily, the fact that she stopped my mom from stealing my car. The fact that she's stood next to me no matter the cost or cause, she becomes a 10. To me a real rating can't be given on asthetics alone. The personality has to be there. Feelings have to be there.
