How about just don't approach women? It's a waste of time and energy. In my experience, it just makes me angry, frustrated, exhausted, or really pissed. And, you never get anything out of it.

  I'm not forcing you to do any of these things and I clearly mentioned at the end that it was based on my observation and experience. I'm not claiming to be an expert or an an authority on dating advice in anyway whatsoever.

  It goes toward your qualification to give advice. You're advising people on how to deal with a problem you've never had to deal with yourself, nor would you be inclined to.
  
  As a female, you get to sit on high and wait for men to approach you, and you just select the winner. You have no idea what is involved in the male side of the courtship process because it's completely different from what you have to deal with.
  
  As usual, all you can do is comment on how you would like guys to do the approaching. And as usual, it's all bad. Getting into a woman's graces is counter-intuitive. Women don't understand it at all, and most men don't either. If you only do things she would like and things that make her feel good and happy and validated, she will use you for everything you're worth and discard you like yesterday's pizza box, and never open up or even just put out.

  Actually, it's not all bad. Being clean and groomed is universally good. It's good for men and women, towards men and women.

  Seems like a very common problem but I think the only way to stop being so reserved is to actually get out of your comfort zone. Try talking to people you don't know at work, find some good conversation starters to make people talk to you (since my one's are apparently so crappy) or mingle with a different group of people or take part in local activities and go to bars with your friends.
  I know it seems hard to do all this but you have to force yourself to try it, then the next thing you know you'll be a chatterbox in no time.
