What does it mean when a girl calls a guy a freak?

I told my friend that I wanted to kiss this girl. I dont know her that well though. and I guess my friend told someone else so she heard and later she was talking to her friend and She said "freak" and looked my way so I know she was talking about me. Does she like me? Is she playing hard to get? What does this mean?

I would say that it was said in a negative way. Would have been better if you approached the girl directly instead of saying it to an untrusty friend.

Definitely not playing... but that's just my thoughts.
