She picked him over me, can I make her change her mind??

I met this girl about a month ago, we went out several times and things were going real well. We were seeing each other often and talking several times a week. We had a lot of common interests and we were both having a great time ( I know I was, she say's she was) with each other. Then out of the blue she tells me one night that a guy from her past whom she once had feelings for and he for her, reappeared in her life. The two of them had previously decided not to pursue those feelings and "moved on."

In addition to all of this she tells me that she has now decided she wants to pursue those feelings. She then goes on to list a bunch of reasons why it would be a bad idea and number of reasons why she should stick with me. She continued to talk about how much we had in common how much she liked me how she has really strong feelings for me etc.

Then she sticks to her guns. I was really kind of shell shocked and couldn't really say too much at that time. I really want to talk to her and try to make her reconsider. Is it even possible? If so I know I would be treading on thin ice, how should I go about it? Or should I just let her go?
