Got out of a relationship with a long time girlfriend of 1.5 years 5 weeks ago, and this girl in my class starts talking to me more often. I had a crush on this girl about 2 years ago and went on a really awkward double date with her.
So anyways, lately she's been talking to me in class a lot. She's surrounded by other female students yet she talks to me. I don't start conversations since I'm usually pretty shy in general but she'd always say funny comments to me and ask me things.
Now, I'm a pretty peculiar person. I love offensive jokes and make them often. I'm known as the ironic weeaboo (disgusting anime fan) so I can safely say I'm a pretty odd one. I routinely make some suicide jokes (I know, bad thing to do) and recently she started making them to me too. It caught me completely off guard since she was your model Asian student, so I was just surprised. She'd make jokes about anime and laugh at all the cringy things I do. Like I was browsing memes at the end of class one day and she looks at my phone, laughs, and says something about it. I laugh, say something back and I expected her to continue doing what she was doing, but she continues to look at my phone, waiting for memes. I even said some cringy things like me being a big meme fan.
I'm not too too sure whether this is just me being hopeful, but 2 weeks after breaking up with my girlfriend when she asked me how my girlfriend was doing and I said we broke up (I didn't tell people for a while), that was when she started talking to me a lot more.
