Well what you should do depends on a lot. But I would tell your sister and talk to her about him. If you like him talk to her like you like him. If not have her talk with him about not going for you. If he is close to her as a friend make sure you let your sister know that you don't want to hurt her friendship.
One time I tried that and it turned out well for me until the year older sister got jealous and got a crush on me also then a whole heck of a lot off drama happened. Keep communication open with every one and be honest.

Define guy friend. If it's her boyfriend you should tell her. If it's just a friend of hers I don't think you need to tell anyone unless you don't want him flirting with you.
