This guy likes me but won't talk to me?

I'm 18 and I'm still in school. There's this cute guy in my class that 100% likes me but I don't like him back (he doesn't know that) because I'm in love with my guy best friend. The reason why I know that he likes me is because his friends are always telling me in secret and they always wink at him when he sits next to me in class.

I know that I don't like him but I don't understand why he won't talk to me if he likes me? Whenever I'm with my friend, I'd ask him a question about the homework but he'll always look at my friend instead of me and answer. I'm just so confused! Can somebody explain?

Soz this is a bit off topic but me and my guy best friend dated last year and we broke up. Thing is when u breakup nothing is left. I tried to save my friendship cause we broke up on mutual terms but he doesn't want to talk anymore. Which i don't get since he the one that implied conditions on our breakup. He just stalks me on Instagram now cause he realised what he had done. I miss him as a friend not as a lover. can't say it to him otherwise it would just feed his ego. can't say the same about ur guy best friend but just remember if u do decide to go into a relationship and breakup. Things will never be the same.

It could be that he knows that you don't like him and he thinks he doesn't have a chance. So why bother talking to you? it could also be that he's just too nervous to talk to you. He could be afraid to say something stupid that would make him look bad, so then it'd be better to say nothing at all. Or he genuinly doesn't know what to say to you, I've had this a couple of times with guys that I liked.

Know what would be really cool of you? If you told him that he'd so be the perfect guy for you, if only you weren't hopelessly in love already, and then try to hook him up with a friend of yours who is just as cool and attractive as you are (minus a little, so you can remain supreme). It's a small world out there you know. I think lack of confidence and being scared of rejection has kept this guy back.
