What takes a guy so long to ask a girl out?

like really why do guy take forever to ask someone out. Like I talk, laugh and even flirt with the guy. And he flirts back but what is he waiting for.

I know what takes me so long (or is taking me so long) is the fear of rejection by a girl I really like and enjoy just talking to daily. I mean if I misread her signals of her liking me and ask her out and she says no that would change the entire friendship and make things way too awkward to get back to the way they were. But, that's just me other people are more bold I think it depends on the person and the relationship you have with that person for how long it takes them to ask you out

I wouldn't wanna ruin things if I get rejected. But I have to overcome that fear. The same goes for your guy. I think you should be patient with him and let him take his time. He could be trying to find out how to ask you out or even what kind of date to take you on. Drop some hints as to what you like to do and maybe it'll help him speed things along.

What you have to realize is that guys can grow feelings for a girl too, they just bottle it up.

And it's a huge let down to them when the girl they like rejects them for a date. That's why it takes a while. If you get the chance, try to kiss the guy that you're flirting with on the cheek. He'll know then.

Do you know if he definitely like-likes you? He might just like to flirt with you or just girls in general. Make sure he likes you first.

If you ARE positive that he likes you then he might just be too shy, or he isn't comfortable with being in a relationship. Why not ask him?

If a guy really likes you its harder for him to ask you out. It hurts A LOT more when you get rejected by a girl you really like.
