I have a cute neighbor but I don’t know how to approach him?

So I recently moved into a new neighborhood over the summer and a few houses down from mine is this really cute guy who looks around my age. I’ve only seen him a few times (taking the garbage out, getting out of the car, one time he walked right past me on the street) and I really want to speak to him but I have no idea what to say or when! I don’t know him or his family or his friends so there is no connection there that could help. It’s frustrating because I usually rely on guys to make the first move but for some reason I just want to get to know him but I don’t want to come across weird or stalkerish or too forward. Id never be able to just knock on his door and introduce myself so I keep trying to think of a way I can “accidentally” meet him but I’m not sure. Any suggestions?

Go knock on the door when you know that his mom is not at home. When he answers the door, ask if his mom is at home. Of course, you already know she isn't. They say that you are looking for babysitting jobs because you are new to the area and you haven't found any friends or activities to occupy your time yet.

Unless he is brain dead, he will recognize the opportunity to suggest doing something together.

You can do the classic , go over and welcome him to the neighbourhood, and get to know him and stuff

Ask him something about the neighborhood or something related to that next time you see him. You just Need to get his Attention and Keep it.

Talk to him normally as a neighbor
make moves in front of him to attack him (this is what I found girls do)
Directly tell him you want to be friends (this might scare him)
out of this three the second one is most favorable, but if he of shy type then your tricks may be useless still you should give a try

Go for walks, that happen to involve walking in front of his house. If he tends to come home at a certain time of day, time your walks for then. When he gets out of his car, you could make a comment about his car.

you could do like they did in the "old days", bake some cookies or something and take them to the house, say hi and introduce yourself, he'll might engage in conversation from there.

Bring an empty cup or bowl, tell him you need a cup of sugar for a homemade pie you are baking. Then, remember to stop over with some of that pie as his reward for helping a damsel in distress. Bring a can of aerosol whipped cream, get some on your finger while serving him the pie and let him lick your finger. If that doesn't do it, bury the guy! He's dead!

don't you people at the suburbs love to greet new neighbors after moving in to a new house? you do that and use it as an excuse to meet him. knock on his door and be like hi, i'm your new neighbor, i just moved in recently and just go from there
